Finally! We did it!
I am happy to announce and welcome you to the official website of Erlmaiden Discordia! It feels still a bit surreal since it took a very long time to reach this point. Now the first step is done and I am very excited to present you with a lot of stuff regarding my manga in the next days.
The main idea behind this website is to use it as an interactive tool for my manga, like some sort of compendium which extends parallel to the progress of the plot. For example, if new characters appear in my manga they will also get an entry in the profile archives. If the characters visit a new location the name and information will appear on my worldmap page. I see myself as a perpetual learner and reflecting about my whole workflow helps me a lot to refine my skills. That’s why I don’t just want tell the story of my manga but also about its development process as well.
My blog posts are not restricted to story-relevant information. In the near future you will get all kind of project insights: Making-ofs, workflow sheets, thoughts about current or past creative challenges of mine and more… Believe it or not: Although we are still at the very beginning of my manga story the project itself has a long, long history. Some concepts were actually developed at least 9 years ago. The picture above shows some entries of my art journal which I’m keeping for the purpose of documentation over the years. I collected everything regarding my manga for the opportunity when I am able to write about the project development from time to time. Just a small glimpse of the hot stuff that awaits you…!
